Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault in the community and to help prevent sexual violence.

Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted.

The WCJ is the certified rape crisis center for Duval, Nassau and Baker Counties. Our rape recovery team supports all survivors of sexual assault.

Your support keeps our services free and allows us to be here 24-hours a day, 7 days a week when we’re needed the most.

Together we can make a difference.

Throughout the month of April, businesses and organizations in Baker County will be ‘turning the town teal’ for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Windows will be dressed and decorated in teal to help us raise awareness of sexual assault.

Take a picture and be sure to post on social media tagging the business and the WCJ, using #TealBaker so we can all enjoy their hardwork!

Come and cheer all the teams on Saturday, April 1 from 09:00 am in Ray Greene Park.

This event is an inspirational and moving close to Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Survivors share their voice through music, painting, sculpture, the spoken word, and literature.

This year will include a special clothesline display, which is a very powerful way to convey the spectrum of gender based violence and its impact on survivors with their voices carried on the t-shirts.

Cost to attend: FREE

Registration for the event is optional; however, we’d like it if you’re able to register – it helps us prepare.

Food and drink will be available to purchase. Thank you.
