Expanded Horizons
The WCJ has formed a unique partnership and referral initiative with the Literacy Alliance of Northeast Florida
to improve the lives of women by improving their reading, comprehension and math skills. This program also helps with gaining a GED.
Prevention
WCJ’s Prevention Department developed Setting the Bar, LEAD, and GAINS as innovative and exciting initiatives to educate and empower participants. The goals are to enhance protective environments and create opportunities to reduce sexual violence in our community.
Bosom Buddies
The WCJ supports people with breast cancer in a variety of ways through our Bosom Buddies program.
This can include medical advocacy, emotional support, mental health counseling and access to specialists and physicians.
The emotional support group takes place every second, third, and fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. The group is virtual (join from anywhere!)
