Expanded Horizons is an adult education/literacy program tailored to the unique needs of women. Services help women to overcome barriers to successfully achieving educational goals.
Expanded Horizon’s services may include transportation or on-line support, based upon needs. Children’s literacy services may also be available while mothers participate in individual tutoring or small group classes. A community education advocate assists clients in removing barriers to reaching goals. Clients also have access to other services offered by the WCJ.
Individualized instruction is offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening based on the availability of tutors and the needs of enrolled students.
WCJ offers specialized advocacy and support services to elder survivors of abuse (sexual, physical, emotional and financial exploitation). In addition, innovative training and education is available to professionals on recognizing, addressing, investigating, and prosecuting cases of abuse against elders. In addition, specialized RRT services are available to elder survivors of sexual violence.
