Recent Proud Moments of The Women's Center of Jacksonville
Bilingual Advocate Eli Shines in Their First Month
During this year’s annual monitoring call from the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, our newest advocate, Eli, was put on the spot—and they rose to the occasion with grace and confidence. Just one month into their role, Eli conducted the call entirely in Spanish, immediately removing the need for a translation service. Their ability to connect directly and compassionately in a survivor’s primary language speaks volumes about the care and commitment they bring to our team.
Seven Years Strong of Excellence!
Thanks in part to Eli’s stellar contribution, WCJ earned a 100% on our monitoring call for the seventh year in a row! This continued streak reflects the dedication, professionalism, and heart our entire team brings to this work every single day. We’re proud to set the standard for what survivor-centered, trauma-informed advocacy can look like.

Our Ongoing Legacy of Care

Last year, WCJ proudly marked 10 years of providing Forensic Exams to survivors of sexual assault—an essential service that ensures survivors receive compassionate, trauma-informed care and evidence collection in a safe, supportive environment.
30 Years of Impact. One Unforgettable Night. This year marks 30 years of serving survivors and strengthening our community—and we’re celebrating in a big way at our annual Women, Words & Wisdom event!
Save the date and join us for an inspiring evening that honors the voices, stories, and strength that have shaped WCJ over the past three decades.
